Reptiles

Reptiles are animals that are cold blooded, lay shell covered eggs and have some sort of scale or scales. They have been around for like over 300 million years and mostly live under the water. There are many types of reptiles,there are snakes, crocodiles, alligators, lizards, turtles and tortoises.
Snakes are everywhere,there are rattlesnakes,garden snakes,pythons,boas,coppermouths,vipers and a whole lot more that I'm not gonna mention right now.They all have no legs and can seperate their jaws to swallow their prey.They sense things through there tongues and vibration in the ground.Some are poisonous and are deadly, but others are not and will not usually bother anyone but will help you in some cases.

Crocodiles and Alligators are kind of similiar but not.Crocodiles live in salt water and alligators live in fresh water mostly.They live nowhere close to each other but they hunt somewhat the same and drag their prey under water to drowned it.If they dont eat all their prey they will usaully store it and eat big and small animals.Alligators live in areas like Florida and down by the coast where its warm and marshy.Crocodiles live in like the Nile River area,Africa,and South America.

Tortoises and turtles are both reptiles that have shells.Some live in the water and others live on land and those are called tortoises.Most eat plants and meat.Tortoises are very big and there are about 40 different kinds of them.The turtles and tortoises use their shells for protection and everything is connected to the shell(backbone,ribs,etc)so they can not live without it.
