So what does is President Obama doing to help the global warming issue? Well he is planning on modeling the recent law signed in California which is suppose to help deal with climate change. California created a "statewide low carbon fuel standard". Obama said" that by creating a clean burning fuel market it could stop the dangerous transformation of our climate". Therefore Obama wants to make this nationwide and it would help reduce the amount of foreign oil we need. He wants us to be more efficient with the oil we use now and try to remove automobile pollution from the air. Obama said:
- Transportation fuels will contain 5% less carbon in 2015 and 10% in 2020.
- A carbon credit system that would allow people that bought fuel to sell credits that they have to other people that used fuel with more carbon.
- Said it would promote growth in cleaner fuels and technologies.
So thats what he thinks will do the trick or at least get evrything started. Well it might help but I dont think it will do the job. What do you think?
