Black Bears

North American black bears are the smallest of all the bears and the most commonly seen species of bears in America. They are omnivores, which means that they eat meat and kill other animals, but they also eat berries etc. Black bears mostly live in forest areas and can climb trees very well which can provide protection for their cubs. Even though they are called "black" bears, they can be seen in different colors like, gray-blue, gray-brown, and very rarely white. Black bears live in a lot of different areas in North America, ranging from Canada to Northern Mexico. They can be attracted to areas where there are people that are feeding them, so dont forget that your not suppose to feed them!
