Cougars have over 200 different names because they live in so many different places. They typically live in steep, rocky canyons, but can also be found in jungle swamp areas and desert plains. They are slightly different depending on where they live. Cougars are light brown, and in a few cases, black. They have spots on the side of their muzzles. They also have dark hair on the tip of their tail with lighter colored chest and belly. They have very good vision and hearing. Their ears are round and move to focus on sounds. They can also swim and climb trees. Cougars can catch and kill anything from a rodent to a moose, but are not on the top of the food chain. They are very powerful and skilled. Cougars adapted well to different things so thats why they can be found in a lot of areas.
